The marine unit, specifically, though it has apparently been called off for now.

Durham police Sgt. Nancy Van Rooy told 680News there are no new developments or “significant leads” in the case, but that Toronto Police have special underwater search equipment that could help with the search

It would be a very sad end. At this point I would want the family to have peace and closure, but I haven't been through this before.

Depends on the news source. Some say police say it may be, others say it is. Who knows what they actually said?

So sad.
I'm glad the family can have closure and bury him though. What a terrible and heartbreaking end.

Although it appeared to be a foregone conclusion, confirmation:

Definitely a sad story. At least there is some closure for his family.

Whitby runners - if you're out and about and see the "Missing" signs on posts and such, please take a minute to take them down... especially with the family living in town, it's time.

Really good suggestion.
Is there a Running Room/local Running Stores in Whitby...perhaps this could be something local runners could take up as a good deed while out on spring runs.
