Happy St. Patrick's Day! I'm not a bit Irish but did remember to wear green today. :) It's been a rest day so far, but I may get out for 8 or 10 km after work. It depends on when I leave the office and what the temperature is. The high today is supposed to be something like -3 or -4, which after yesterday would probably feel warm, ha ha. Hope everyone has a great start to the week.

I'm up early for my long run while my kids sleep in on their first day of spring break. It's a gorgeous morning- can't wait to get out there.

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

Treadmill day for me. Maybe once the bruise on my knee from the outdoor run last week goes away, I'll attempt outside again. I ran 5k, then walked 3k.

I did my usual Monday morning run this afternoon and my gym workout in the morning. This was to let the temperatures get a bit warmed for my run.
This morning 2 1/4 hours in the gym. This afternoon a 2 hour walk/run/walk.

This evening, I fly to Calgary. I have a funeral to attend on Wednesday afternoon. I hope to get in a couple of morning runs at Fishcreek Provincial Park. When we lived in Calgary for a year ( ten years ago ), I walked the trails there a lot. ( I wasn't running then. )

Happy Monday, Happy St. Paddy's Day.

Week One, Day Two of Couch-to-5K. It's like I've gone back to 2004, except I'm even heavier than I was when I started running. -6 and feels like -13. Positively balmy.

I can't believe nobody swung for the fence with you offering that one up so nicely!

Nice one for me this morning- we were in downtown Toronto for a later March break trip with the kids, so I did just under 15km- had a nice tour around the downtown and neighbourhoods to the west of there.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

I was just trying to imagine what "grown-up tag" could be. :)

dirty minds aside, it was actually Tag like you play when you're 6 except it was a bunch of adults running around a muddy park. :) super fun!
