Rainy Tuesday
Rainy Tuesday
My last day in Florida, and I got to run in some light rain. It wasn't that bad really. Tomorrow it's supposed to actually get cold here, but we are leaving!
8K recovery run in 51 minutes.

Re: Rainy Tuesday
Good, tough workout for me.
16km with 5 x 1000m hills- steady pace up the hill, then flat out for the downhill. Practicing for getting to the top of Heartbreak Hill and dropping the hammer!

Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

Re: Rainy Tuesday
Treadmill Tuesday here. I wasn't really in the mood to run and thought it would be a tough slog, but my legs turned out to have a surprising amount of energy. But since I'm supposed to do Around the Bay on Sunday, I didn't push too hard. Threw in a few easy-ish hills since my hill training has been close to nil. 7.61 miles in total.

up at 3 am and unable to sleep. Tossed and turned for a while, read for a bit, back to tossing and turning, and finally got out of bed at 5:45 and headed down to the treadmill. 6 km listening to the Kathrine Switzer interview on the Another Mother Runner podcast - always find her so interesting!

Slow 14K, more cold and snow. Summer is going to be the best week of 2014.

I know the feeling!
10k out on the west coast (here for spring break). Rain and dodging goose poop instead of snow for a few days.

Re: Rainy Tuesday
Just finished an hour with my trainer. I think he tried to kill me off. I was a sweaty shaky mess at the end - it was awesome

I run because it's my passion, and not just a sport. Every time I walk out the door, I know why I'm going where I'm going and I'm already focused on that special place where I find my peace and solitude. Running, to me, is more than just a physical exercise...it's a consistent reward for victory!

Re: Rainy Tuesday
7K for me on very fresh feeling legs, felt great!
Re: Rainy Tuesday
I aimed for a 40 minute run with 5 minutes easy, 1 minute fast. I only ran for 35 minutes. Then walked to 40. I had too big of a lunch today, and then felt ill. I walked for an hour after that around TO, and that made me feel better.

It was cozy. I like little gyms like that. I may head back before work in the morning.

Re: Rainy Tuesday
Easy 14k for me. Doing a 30k race this Saturday so my "taper" plan is to get the mileage in for the week but no speed work. Also moving rest day from Wednesday to Friday.

Re: Rainy Tuesday
7.5 km higher tempo run, up and down some hilly country. Forgot how much better things can go when you nap before you run. Nice.
