Re: Sun-Day
My back is a little iffy today (weird tweak yesterday), so I'm not going to run. I do want to get my commuter bike out of storage to make sure it's road worthy so that I can ride to work sometime in the next week or so.

Early morning 31K. Between the ice from yesterday's melt and drivers who turn without slowing down or signaling, I had a few brushes with death. On the good side, a new pair of shoes felt heavenly.

Re: Sun-Day
We get to do our first destination run with the clinic. It should be interesting as there is a huge disparity in paces from 6:30 to around 8:00. Some of the participants will probably end up catching the train part way. Workout will be 20 + 1 x 3 plus whatever we need to actually get to the Quay. Should 9ish km

Re: Sun-Day
31.5 km for me this morning. The weather was perfect for a run this morning. It was cool when I left the house but I was warm in my long sleeve shirt toward the end. I did the first 26 km at an easy pace and the remaining 5.5 at a harder pace. The only downside was that my Garmin died at 26 km so I had to estimate the rest of my mileage. Fortunately I was close to home and I only ended up being off by 500 m.

Re: Sun-Day
Another Couch-to-5K run today. I don't even know which one, I just followed the prompts, then jogged most of the way in from where I finished. Cold-ish and grey in Charlottetown, PEI this morning. But I really enjoyed my run/walk.

Re: Sun-Day
Struggled through 32 km today, my longest distance of the year to date. Back seized up a bit and that didn't help either.
Highlight was running into Dave Proctor, 2013 Canadian Ultra-marathon champion, who turned around and graciously slowed down enough to run with me for a while, chatting about various gossip and this and that. He'd already done 200 km for the week and looked fresh as a Spring daisy pushing his baby buggy. He helps our organizing committee for the Millarville "Run To The Farmers' Market" Half Marathon - the start line is a five minute walk from his house in Black Diamond, Alberta.

Hope your back is back to normal in no time La. I had something similar this week and had to miss my beloved tae-boxe on Thursday...
Ran 30 mins today with Popeye, compression socks were in the wash and I felt my shins immediately.

Re: Sun-Day
Did a one-way run from Burnaby to Delta to a friend's for brunch. I did about 18K in just over 1:50; Rob joined me after doing a bit on his own first. It was a great run overall but pretty tough over the Queensborough and Alex Fraser Bridges. I felt great for the run but then managed to trip while jogging to catch the bus after . Some small wounds (fingers, knees, and pelvic bone, oh my) and a cracked iPhone were the injuries. The wounds will heal, and I figure it's time for an early upgrade anyway. (not going to let it put a damper on my day! )

We saw Rob as he was heading up to the Queensborough. Hope you don't have any lasting injuries from your trip.

I wish I could have caught you from falling. Heal up soon.
I did 11k before meeting Jen for a total of 26k. It was the hilliest long run I've ever done. Legs are feeling it now. Still a great run and it was fun. Thanks, Jen.

Nice run, but not a nice fall. Hope you're not too stiff and banged up.

Re: Sun-Day
ah Jen, sorry to hear about your fall!!
My aim was not true... I did not hit anywhere near 35km. I just did not have it today, as my legs were super tired and sore (not sure why, since they felt fine for yesterday's run!). I ended up joining up with a running buddy part way through, and also ran into a couple of others so it was a very social day on the trails! lol Anyway, ended up with 12.2 miles (just shy of 20k).
