Half-way Wednesday

Postby Habs4ever » Wed Apr 09, 2014 8:00 am

Half-way to the weekend, Mniacs.
Rainy and dull here, so not sure if I'll go outside or stick with the treadmill.

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone.

5.08 miles this morning with my BRF who I haven't run with in forever. She was kind to me and held back on the pace.

It was something like +2 C here this morning and I met my running buddy for our first weekday morning run in months. It was just the slightest bit dark at the start so once again I got to run into the sunrise for 13 km. I love days like this.

Will try to get to the pub tonight for the first time in a long time. The key is to not go home first, but I could work until midnight so that's not an issue (sadly). It also depends on DH's schedule. Our new kitty is fully integrated but we are trying to maximize our time at home between now and Boston so that he gets really comfortable. And we get really comfortable that all the cats are okay together.

Come into the light of one fine day

Plus 20 C yesterday, woke up to a winter wonderland this morning after an overnight blizzard and it's all melted again and plus 10 C by this afternoon. The Foothills of the Rockies is a crazy place.

Ran 3.2 km to the top of last summer's "King Of The Hill" challenge in the Tour of Alberta cycle race, near Black Diamond, then down the hill back to the vehicle. Stiff wind. Tough hill. New shoes!!!

If you've ever watched "Heartland" on CBC, the old trailer used as a set piece is on top of the hill.
Dear Lord, help me be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

10.1K with the group, including 4.7K of hills. Wore my new Saucony Triumph and had no hip pain, even on the downhills. It's been a long time since that last happened...wonder how long the cushioning will last in these shoes?
