She finished 7th in 2:22. They said it was a 1-min PB for her. Just not good enough for the day considering Rita Jeptoo ran a course record 2:18.

Yes, they were making it sound like she may have dropped out and I was so glad to see her finish! And finish so well.

I did 6k this morning, getting home just in time to watch the women's start. I missed the elite finishes as I went to visit my sick aunt instead. But, watching the regular folk on TV now.

8 km run for me. Nice day in the Peg for running. I am tracking a friend who is at the 30 Km mark. He finished last year about 5 minutes ahead of the trouble.

Nicely done everyone! I was watching the coverage from 6:30 am here 9:30 after the winners ended. Then I had to go out but I was sneaking peeks on my phone to check the maniacs and some other friends. It was a gorgeous day but it sounds like it got warm for the later finishers.

Happy to see that it all went well this year!

Way to go Maniacs! It must have been an extra-special Boston Marathon. Great effort from everyone!

Hey folks- bit of a rough one for me. My breathing, heart rate, and energy were all good, but my legs were not. I could tell early on that things weren't going to be able to carry on at 4:30/km so I decided to enjoy the experience- it was AMAZING! I've never seen crowds like that, and I had a smile on my face for much of the race. Even after the race the vibe was awesome- having random people come up to me and thank me for coming to their city and supporting it. Unreal.

About to dig into a steak and lobster dinner. Speaking of lobster, I have a wicked sunburn on my bald dome and back and arms that is the colour of a lobster.
