Orange Wednesday

Postby Habs4ever » Wed May 07, 2014 7:23 am

After 4 straight days of rain/clouds it was nice to see a beautiful orange ball in the eastern sky. This is a good sign for a great day.
Hoping for a long run.

Ran an easy 7 km this morning with a gym buddy - gorgeous morning for a run. Then finished off with 10 minutes on the elliptical and one set of upper body weights. Maybe just maybe I'll make to Runpub tonight and actually run. It depends on work and the weather. The chance of showers is somewhere between 40% and 60%, with the possibility of a thunderstorm. No I'm not made of sugar but that doesn't mean I want to run in the rain. :)

Spinpub for me tonight. Don't want to risk aggravating my Achilles by trying to run, so I'll stick to the bike.

Heehee, I have heard of worse ways to induce labour! I agree Scrummy, you are AWESOME!! Way to go. At this point in Sept/Oct I was definitely opting for chair sitting a lot!!
I'm going to do a steady 5-8km at some point today, maybe a stroller run, we'll see. I'm getting excited for Sunday- I just found out ZoomPhoto will be at Sporting Life so for the first time EVER I might get some good pics!

7K tempo run for me. I ended up meeting my goal pace for the entire run, but pacing during the run was a mess. I was all over the place and I need to work on that a bit over the next couple of weeks as race weekend approaches.

Track work tonight with the group. 2K up to the track, 5 times 800m hard & 200m walk, one times 400m hard, 2K back. After all my regular slow runs, I was surprised at how fast I ran. Need to do this again next week and help reset my Central Governor to accept a faster pace....
