160/205 Monday

Postby Habs4ever » Mon Jun 09, 2014 7:59 am

Today is the 160th day of the year with 205 left to go.

What are you doing today to make it memorable?

Hmmmm... Good question!

I did a cross training session this morning - elliptical, rowing machine and some stretching and strength.

Yesterday was memorable, because we went to Niagara and watched my sister finish the Ride to Conquer Cancer. She did amazing! I'm so proud of her! And she was so proud of herself!

Nothing too memorable for me this morning- my easy day standard loop around the trails in the local conservation area.

One exciting thing though is that this is the last session for my literacy tutoring before we take the summer off, so I'm excited to have my Monday evenings back!
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

absolutely nothing! lol

heading into the office this morning, and tonight I'm going to work on cleaning my old place (hopefully it won't take a ridiculous amount of time...). Unpacking... trying to figure out where to put everything... my new place is a lot more spacious than the old one and I don't know what to do with all the space. :)

Very sore today and moving slowly... calves are the most sore, followed by shoulders and back.

I still have to rearrange some furniture until I'm satisfied that it works... so that will be my workout for today!

Also I should note that I LOVE LOVE LOVE how bright and sunny my new place is. Big windows everywhere, especially in the kitchen. And my desk is right beside the window that gets the most morning sunlight. :)

Nothing memorable about today so far! Hoping for a nice uneventful day at the office so I can leave on time and get some chores done this evening. Yawn...

As for exercise, I ran 10 km on Saturday morning at tempo pace, then 20 km on Sunday morning at easy pace. I don't usually run on Saturday, and we were out/up quite late Saturday night, and so yesterday's run really took it out of me! Today was the usual Monday gym day - elliptical, upper body weights and a bit of core work. Will try to finish that part of the workout at home tonight.

Have a great day, everyone. :)

Lisa - congrats to your sister!

Holly - hope you're getting settled into your new place. How's the nearby running?

AFM - First post baby "workout" - which I am judging by the fact that I put on a sports bra for it! 45 minute power-ish walk at strollercize. :D

Today so far is a good ordinary day. I'd like to think that when I am very old and too decrepit to run, I'll remember, and look back fondly on, good "ordinary days" just like this. Beautiful morning in the park for my 21 minutes of rehab running 1:1's. The foot feels much improved! :)

For a minute I thought you were posting your blood pressure and I was going to recommend that you go see a doctor.

I have two options: up the mountain and down the mountain. Though I can't go down the mountain very far since I am only a few blocks from the water, so basically my only option is up. :)
