Sunday's done
Sunday's done
Among other activities today, I rode 40km, I played tennis for an hour, and now I'm about to hit the sack. Sunday is over for me, what does it hold for you?

Happy Father's Day to all you fabulous Maniac fathers. Hope you all get spoiled rotten.
Best wishes to any racers today. I know it's Manitoba Marathon, but not sure if anyone is racing.

5.25 km on a gorgeous June morning. Spent my run thinking about my Dad, and all the times he started over, like me. Bike ride planned with the fam this afternoon.

So far, a bottle of fine, dark Guatemala rum for Father's Day. Brunch coming up later. Did 60 mins on the rowing machine this morning and a 45K ride yesterday with the group. Looks like a great day out there today....

I went for a run. Longest in a while, about 8k. It's such a beautiful day that I will have to spend it outside. Not sure what yet. Likely walking around, exploring.

Going to do a 10.8k run today, it's a Prostate Cancer fundraiser around Burnaby Lake hence the odd distance. Fingers crossed the rain may hold off. Will do today as a run rather than a race, it will probably still be a pb for this distance

Well that was fun! A 10k race in Sunnybrook park! Problem. The garmin I thought was fully charged was dead. Oh well. For the first time ever, I ran a race gadgetless. I seriously had no clue of my pace. I was just trying to keep steady and bit by, bit pick people off
Final time was 51:57. Get this crazy stat. I was 3rd in my age group and 6th overall. 3 of the top 6 ladies were 50-59. We rock! I would have won 3 of the younger age groups.
It was a great day, and it was a well organized event. And the weather was perfect.

Nice racing Lisa.
I just finished 17k in 1;55. Felt good- longest one since the marathon.

That's fantastic Lisa, congrats.... Nice to race gadget free now and again.
6 miles for me outside today.
Re: Sunday's done
Ran the Waterloo Classic today. Excellent race. I saw our Runningmania Ian here in Waterloo. He is in Waterloo for a conference and dropped into the Waterloo RR for a Sunday morning run. I hooked him up with a couple of our faster runners before my friend Mike and I headed over to the Waterloo Classic 10K.

Great run Lisa!! Oh yes - I ran the Waterloo Classic 10K this morning. 51:15 time and 2nd in my age group. You and I will have to get together sometime for a 10K challenge!!
Re: Sunday's done
Enjoyable cool rainy Manitoba Marathon. Likely less enjoyable for those doing the full I'm sure. I did the half and it was really starting to come down when I finished. The hot bath after was lovely.

Re: Sunday's done
hike from near my house up seymour via three chop trail and perimeter trail (to goldie lake). plus a minor detour when we went the wrong way.
It was roughly 9.5 miles with a good amount of elevation gain (2900 feet each way). Increasingly foggy as we went up the mountain (into the cloud) and then at the top it started raining and by the time we finished we were thoroughly soaked.
Took the puppy and now he is happily exhausted at my feet.
