Waterdrops in every direction Saturday

Postby fingerboy » Sat Sep 13, 2014 10:37 am

Honestly this was the first time I've run in the rain in long time - at least a month? Wed I had run in the AM so I skipped the night storm. Can't remember before that.

I ran 26.5km with my group. Was only supposed to run 23 but we were having fun trying to out run each other. Lot of water coming off the road and getting kicked back into the air. Take that, sky! Too bad if you were the one behind you were often the recipient of the wet muddy drops, not the sky. All in good fun. 4:26 average pace. We really broke it into 2 8k pickups of 4:05-4:20ish pace.

Happy Saturday to everyone!

I was out volunteering at the Downsview 5k in that rain this morning would have rather been running :? Anyway, wet and chilled to the bone, I decided to keep my own run to the treadmill. 11k done

Took the day off today, the fact that it is cold and wet sure helped!

Skipped the group run as few folks were showing up today. Got out of the house a bit late and ended up enjoying a light drizzle during my 4.5K run.

ran 10k today. My first run in a week - I got a cold this week that has been tough to shake, and I've been coughing too much to be comfortable running.

The tree carnage on the pathways is pretty shocking - downed branches and trees everywhere!

Decided to wait out the rain and finally around noon it stopped... so I ran. 16.5km in the cool, kinda misty with the occasional sun shine. Felt great today. Love these kind of temps way better than hot sun...not that I want winter to come or anything

Nothing but beautiful sun here. :)

Today I just over 7k on my own then 5k with some friends in the Color Run. That was interesting- not something I would normally do but a friend wanted me to do it with her. It was ok- fun but not overly so. :) Pretty much the antithesis of the kind of organized runs I like to do.
