Snowy Spring Saturday

Postby scrumhalfgirl » Sat Mar 21, 2015 9:56 am

Nothing like ice pellets hitting you in your face to start off a long run! I was glad I had my sunglasses to protect my eyes - even though the sun wasn't up yet!

28 km done - longest run in almost 3 years. Time for my mini-taper for Around the Bay next week.

I started out in the light rain, but it kindly stopped! It was a great morning for a long run. 30k done.

Kind of a mini taper here for ATB too!

14K for me this morning in the snow, sleet and wind. Not really a nice morning out there at all, but it was nice to get out bright and early for some fresh air.

Slow and awkward 10K with the group this morning. Soccer last night probably didn't help.

23k in a bit of everything. Had some blue sky to start then it clouded over and dumped on us even had some lightening. Thankfully that didn't last long and we were able to finish the run in decent weather. The rain held off long enough to get Dragon Boat practice in as well. Yay.

11.5 km in -6 and a miserable March wind, with a great topper of wiping out on some ice with about a km to go. Luckily unhurt.
