Maniac Monday in the Philippines.

Postby barebuns1 » Sun Mar 29, 2015 6:26 pm

I ran a short 3kms on the beach overlooking the South China Sea. We usually run at 5.00am to avoid the traffic. Later in the afternoon I will get out and run through the rice fields for another 3 or 4kms.
If you have to ask me why I Run, You probably wouldn't understand!

3km warm up
2km @ 5km pace (6:59)
2' ac
2x 1km @ 5km pace (3:33, 3:34)
2km cool down

It felt very mechanical and not fluid. A little on the slow side..

5-6000m Swim practice later today and a full day of class.

Oh that sounds nice!

Rest day for me. I feel surprisingly good today despite the hard effort yesterday. First time running ATB with no DOMS. Maybe the elimination of the big hill or the fact that I had serious DOMS 2 weeks ago that prepared me for this. Either way, I'm happy!

Recovery stationary bike and TM walking for me. Along with a little bit of core work.

I ran today 5 x5:1! It had been 2 weeks or so since my last run so I didn't want to push it.
