It's my mother's birthday today too. :) I just talked to her. Happy birthday to your nephew, Cheryl.

I just got back from the Grouse Grind which was great. Great for me because I haven't been able to go since before my concussion, and I wasn't even sure I would be able to handle it today. I was prepared to turn around if it didn't feel ok after the first 10 minutes or so, and I promised myself I'd go no farther than a quarter way up if I felt bad. But i felt good, kept it pretty easy, and finished feeling awesome. :) It was a slow 1:02-- slow because I'm really out of shape but also because I was purposely holding back. I'm not sure I could have gone much harder/faster anyway fitness-wise.

4 km to work and hopefully the same on the way home. The cool air this morning was so lovely! Also did 10 minutes of core work this morning with about a million child-related interruptions.

Only time for a 30 minute 5.5k run this am. Headed into work early and to the village after work.

10K for me after work. It's only 24 out right now, but I found it really tough for some reason. It felt allot worse than it was.

skipping today. Partly because I only have time for either run or nap, and nap is more important in this moment. Partly because I'm being cautious due to air quality after hearing from some girls in my running club who work in research around that... apparently wildfire smoke is worse than regular pollution particulates because the particles are smaller/finer and get into your lungs more. As well, wildfire smoke is not pure smoke... there are other things in there, many of which are dangerous. So they said it's not a great idea to be doing high intensity exercise until this clears up. I'm going to play it a day at a time... if it actually does rain on Sunday that will help!

Track workout tonight. 5 x 450m and 2 X 900m, all with 230m walk recoveries. Polar m400 worked well but some of the uploaded stats are totally wonky when viewed online. Had to e-mail Polar support. I bought this thing because I was fed up with the issues with cr@p Garmin s/w.

On my feet all day at the Stampede. No formal workout other than walking the dog.

Apparently this thread was invisible to me (not really)

This week I've done a multitude of pushing, pulling, rowing, overhead, squat, you name it, it was time for a run.

This was my first run since June 16th. It's hard to be motivated when you are building back up your endurance and there are other areas that need work.

The the canal route again, but a bit further, to almost 3.5km out, almost 3.5km back. I turned around at 21 minutes, figuring my average pace would be close to 6:00/km, and it was. The way back I was shade faster finishing the run in 41:42

Didn't need to stop, no walk breaks, only stopped for lights, once on the way out and once on the way back.
