Sweat and Speed Tuesday

Postby Habs4ever » Tue Jul 26, 2016 12:09 pm

Hot and humid already this morning. Track workout. About 10.8 with warm up and cool down.

Now getting ready for an IronColl (and kids) visit!

5K non-stop this morning -- left posterior chain is still bugging me, but stretching the hamstring and glute is helping a lot. I've been doing 6:1 and 7:1s almost exclusively, but I'm trying to do one run straight through every week as a test. Today's 5K was almost exactly 30 minutes, for a 5:59/km pace. I'll take it.

7K for me, with the last KM or so walking it in. It wasn't quite as humid as yesterday, but too hot for me with that sun out and blazing. Low 30's with humidex right now.

Sweat: 32 on the humidex this afternoon, yet another thunderstorm on the way

Speed: 8 x 1K threshold (3:48 average) with 200m jog recoveries + WU/CD for 14K. Not easy, but grinding through a workout in these conditions will give me superpowers just like Spirit.

Warm day here as well, we managed 6km, mostly in the shade.
