Damp Sunday

Postby Ken B » Sun Oct 02, 2016 8:59 am

For some reason, I have been neglecting this page. As some of you know, I have had continuing problems with my left foot due to a brain cramp back in August during the ENDURrun. I finally went to a doctor and I am on antibiotics now. I have a few more days of taking them. The foot is much better but I am still not running.
Therefore, today's damp Sunday is being spent indoors for me! You all have a great day! :)

20 minutes on the rowing machine this morning plus a full suite of stretches for lots of body parts. Hope those doing the Run for the Cure are enjoying the day.

Run for the Cure 10k race for me--a new PB by one full minute! It was 3 minutes faster than my last 10k two years ago! Rain held off for the race, and all the stars must have been aligned. Happy, happy. :D

I had planned on a long run this morning, but I just didn't have it in me today. Did get 10K done on the trails though.

Just over 10k with the gang on a beautiful fall day. The fact that it is already fall is a bit :( but I will enjoy the nice weather while it lasts.

PEC marathon....turned out to be my worst race ever. I was doing well up until the half (sub 1:40), then my left leg cramped up. I pushed through till 30 (sub 2:30), and then the right leg cramped up. I had to walk and hop to the finish line. I refused to be picked up by a car......not a happy camper

Sorry to read this! I know how you feel. I had a similar run/walk at the PEWC Marathon last year.
