Solstice Wednesday

Postby La » Wed Jun 21, 2017 7:43 am

Happy Summer, everyone! It doesn't really feel like it here (13C this morning, going up to 23C later today).

Even though I ran home from work yesterday, I'm going to meet my runpub group for our usual Solstice Run. Not sure if I'll make it to the lighthouse, though (that's 10K round trip).

It's a coolish first day of summer here, too. I'm going running shoe shopping today--got a gift card and a coupon, so my shoes will be almost free! :D I'll get my run in late this afternoon. Happy summer, all you Maniacs!

Had to order my shoes, since they didn't quite have my size. Got my run in, just as I said I would!

11K for me on the trails after work. I bought some new shoes the other day (Topo Terraventure) and ran in them for the first time today and I thought they were pretty nice. Super wide toe box, 3MM drop, decent cushion and still enough ground feel to have nice connection to the trail.
