I am $50 away from reaching my $500 goal for the BIG Swim this Saturday. Many thanks to the many Maniacs who sponsored me! :D

Edit: thanks to some generous Maniacs, I am now over my goal! :D

I still got a ways to go. I am at $220 and I need $4000 total.
I used to run. All the time.
Now? Notsomuch.
I'm still a runner, though.

No one cares what I would do; therefore, I can do anything!!

I wasn't sure if your posted question related to a specific Maniac-related fundraiser or whether it was for runners doing fundraising more generally. If the former, nothing to report. If the latter, I am currently just over $5000 raised for the Canadian Diabetes Association as part of Team Diabetes New York City marathon, Nov 06. Every donation appreciated and acknowledged at: www.petermcdrunning.blogspot.com

Another $25.00 for ya, Jennifer ... :P

I followed my Brother's Father-in-Law progression, (err, digression) from being a very vibrant man to one that suffered Parkinson's over several years ... it was so sad, in the end ...

there are a number of RM members, like yourself, that are fundraising. Holly has set up a page (under the "Members" menu, above)... if you want to be added to that list, send a pm to holly (klewlis)

My fundraising is on going - hotdog barbeques thru the summer :D

January seems so far away but I know it will come faster than I think.

no worries, you have lots of time. :)

btw, I swear by the "sitting at a table in walmart" method of fundraising. Extremely easy and effective. I made up to $400/day doing that. :)

Thanks to a fundraiser here at work, I am now only $85 from my fundraising goal.

Thanks to all the Maniacs who have supported me, both financially and with words of encouragement!

Announcement - NEW fundraising goal!

Postby wantmeback » Thu Jul 06, 2006 10:20 pm

***Announcing my NEW goal of $2500!!!***

Having reached the $2000 minimum I need to be permitted to do the walk, I have chosen to raise my fundraising goal by $500. Why? Well, my sister, Rebecca, has challenged me to do so. If I do, then she is going to get a pink ribbon tattoo on, what else? Her breast, of course! (She was nice enough not to stipulate something I have to do if I don't make the goal....

Anyone who knows Becky knows she has a soft spot for body art, so I am thrilled that she has decided to make herself a canvas for the Weekend to End Breast Cancer. In turn, I will do my best to a) raise the money and b) walk my butt off on August 12 and 13. She has agreed to let me post a photo of her artwork (tasteful, of course!) on www.runningmania.com, after it is completed.

Oh, and I will be directing Becky here so that she can see I've made my goal public.

Thanks, Bec!
Jen
