Notify on reply to specific posts

Postby Mark.AU » Fri Mar 16, 2012 8:50 pm

Is there any coding available in this board format that would have a user notified their specific post was replied to (or was quoted) instead of the simple generic thread reply notification?

Thx.

It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so fcuking what."

Notify on reply to specific posts

Since the threads aren't nested there is no way to indicate whether you are replying to a specific post or the thread in general. So there would be no way for the program to distinguish either.

I have been on other forums that have nested threads and it's REALLY cumbersome- I wouldn't want that system here anyway.

Umm, thanks, but I was hoping someone with knowledge of the coding would respond instead of unsolicited op-ed.

The admins were having a look at it - i don't know the answer.

In the meantime, a little respect?

Just search the page for "Mark" with the Ctl F for quoted posts. No matches click next pages. Still no matches then no reply.

I can add it to the wish list but I don't have much time these days to add new stuff, so no promises.

I know that you can subscribe to certain threads, but I am not sure if there is a notify me when someone replies to a subscribed thread option...
