October Mileage Challenge!

Postby Kristen » Fri Oct 01, 2010 9:51 am

Since everyone appears to be tapering and running marathons and running Lemming Loops this month, I'm sneaking in at what appears to be a most opportune time and issuing this month's mileage challenge!

No idea what my schedule calls for yet, but I'd be pretty happy with 340ish this month.

Anyone else in?

I have no mileage goals for October, as well, as first and second week is pretty well a write-off due to full tapering and recovery mode ... As well, as there are a number of local 5Ks to 1/2 marathons, literally every weekend (and, sometimes one on both Saturday and Sunday) ... :shifty: ...

Stay the course...try to continue with consistently running during my lunch hour as best I can - except for a possible lunch date with NewFinnLoper next week....

Well now that my other activities are in full swing and I can realistically only run 3 days/week - I'm going to say I'd be happy with 180.

I'll go for a repeat of last month, I have a couple short races this month, but there are 5 Sundays in October to boost mileage.

Oct 11 Guelph Thanksgiving Day Races 5k
Oct 31 Ontario Masters Sunnybrook XC 8k

I'm in with 280 again, mostly faster paced runs to harden the F up for XC.
Mississauga Marathon - 2:52
Around the Bay - 1:58

21K and counting. Hit the gym this morning but was WAY too sore to even think about running. Did weights and stretched. Trying to play it smart.
