2009 Manitoba Trail Races

Postby dwayne_runs_far » Mon Jan 19, 2009 3:21 pm

As many of you know, 2008 was the first year of the Try a Trail series here in Manitoba. Well, it's back for 2009 with the addition of a sixth race, this one with an ultra twist.

18 July 2009 - 6km

8 August 2009 - 9km

22 August 2009 - 12km

12 September 2009 - 14km

17 October 2009 - 8km or 22km

And for the new event, on 3 October prepare for a new challenge. On a 5km loop you will be racing the clock, how far can you go in either 3, 6 or 12 hours?

The on-line registration will be open later this week along with some more details of the races, http://www.trailrunmanitoba.com

You know I'll be there for all of them. They were great fun last year.

I'm not sure about running the loop-de-loop thingie but I'm pretty sure I know someone who will!

And if he's tough enough, he'll do the 6 hour or maybe the 12 hour :-)

And I'll be his crew. It will be interesting to see what he decides. It may depend on how many names you call him.

If all goes well, the registration will finally be done and up for this weekend. I'll be posting here and sending an e-mail to last year's runners when it is ready.

Thanks for all the support! You guys all rock!

I'm sorry I'll miss this Dwayne. But now that I'm in a new age group, I can't defend my title anyways.

And I just might have done the loop-de-loop thing...
