bumping this up. I never did get the MYO XP (my order never came in... or I never heard from them... don't remember) and I bought a cheaper headlamp instead. Now that one is broken. And my backup is broken. So today I'm going shopping!
MEC has the MYO RXP instead of the XP. Anyone know the difference? Is it just the newer version? Still the best for the price?

It's the same headlamp, but I believe the RXP just refers to the fact that it's rechargeable. I do remember there being a recall on the first batch of the original MYO XP's with a wire shorting out or something.

I strongly suggest not using any lights during a night run, as it shows up obstacles, cliffs and eyes along the trail, all of which result in unnecessary anxiety...

I haven't seen eyes but there are some areas where it gets SO dark you can't see your hand in front of your face, so a light is unfortunately a necessity. On Monday we could have gone just on moonlight though!
