How do people run trails in snow without tripping, or sliding and falling? (rhetorical question)

Anton displays such a beautiful spirit. He seems joyful and appears to run with such ease. I don't look like that. I wear three layers of clothes and shuffle along a pre-dawn residential street. If I was on that trail in the snow with Anton, I'd be picking my way afraid of falling. But in my heart and mind: I am that spirit of happiness when I run.
