It won’t be long before the snow arrives and, with that, the Dion Eastern Ontario Snowshoe Running Series.

Spafford Health and Adventure and Dion Snowshoes are pleased to be bring you the 2013 Dion Eastern Ontario Snowshoe Running Series. We have 5 races in the series this season including Summerstown Forest (Cornwall: Jan 12), Frontenac (Sydenham: Jan 19), Westbrook (Kingston: Feb 9), Frozen Ass (Batawa: Feb 17) and Switzerville Red Barn (Napanee: Feb 24).

Dion 121 racing snowshoes will be awarded to the male and female series champions at the conclusion of the series. Your top 3 finishes out of the 5 races count towards series points. Snowshoes and other prizes will be drawn randomly as well.

We are thrilled to add two new venues this season and welcome Summerstown Forest and Westbrook to the series. Both of these races offer spectacular snowshoe running on trails that we’re sure you will love.

Snowshoe runners who are trying to qualify for the Canadian Snowshoe Running Championships, to be held near Quebec City in March, can attempt to qualify by competing at the Frontenac Snowshoe Race, as it is one of the official qualifying races for Nationals. More details, including qualifying standards, will be posted shortly.

Register early for each of these races and receive a special commemorative Dion Snowshoes Beer Glass. Run all the races and collect a set of them!

No snowshoes, no problem! We have a fleet of demo snowshoes that we can lend out on race day for free. First come, first served…so register early and contact us to reserve your snowshoes. Also, register for any of the races and you’ll also receive a 10% discount on the purchase of any Dion Snowshoes through Spafford Health and Adventure.

Just need that white stuff to fall from the sky and stick around, and all will be good.

Just wait for the first trail run after/during the first snowfall, it is the most magical run of the year. Made just that much better if run at night.....

Heading up trail #1 from the Visitor Centre, Dec 4 ,2010

I hope to hit up at least one of your snowshoe races, Spaff. Yeah, where's the snow?
