So I know most of you did your own training programs. I was coached. I only kept my coach until the end of May. I'm curious as to what people have found with respect to the first two weeks post ultra and what should be on the training program to set a base of "good recovery". My questions include:

1) Can you do too much?
2) Do you just go by feel?

I recognize that sometimes recovery training is focused if there is another race on the horizon. I don't have one right now.... I'm just curious as to what people think is reasonable for the first 2-3 weeks post race.

Eat and sleep a lot. Go for walks or mountain bike rides with your SO.

Hi kiddo...Ok, I'm here, I'm here.

In response to your question, yes I think you CAN do too much which is why you should go by the way you feel. I don't think it's necessary to jump back into a set training schedule right away.

I think it's better to err on doing too little than too much while you're still recovering.

P.S. The chips and salsa were awesome weren't they!
