Back in the day i use to wear NB 766, then 767 then 768 up to 769
never had a problem with these shoes, then i was unfaithul had affair with cheeky younger saucony model and ended up feeling some pain
now i limp back to the noble art of running and want to lace up some NBs only to discover NB 769 is no more
Some suggested 760 replaced 769

Re: New Balance Replacement model numbers
Ask at a Running Room or other running-specific store. New Balance used to go through a sequence with each model when they did their yearly "updates"; 760, 761, 762... 769, then drop back to 760 and start over again. However, a couple of years ago they changed model numbers on a lot of their series. There may still be a 760 series, but chances are that it is not the same model you're expecting. I can't remember what the changes were because I've not sold shoes in a couple of years.
Maybe Andy can tell you.

Re: New Balance Replacement model numbers
I am not very familiar with the current NB line of products, as well ... I would suggest either visiting one of the Sports 4 location on Bank St and/or the New Balance store on Baseline / Woodroffe, if you are looking for specific recommendations .....

Re: New Balance Replacement model numbers
I wear this line of shoes (starting with the 768 IIRC) and after 769 they did jump back to 760. They then jumped to 860. It's been a while since I bought a pair since I had a few pairs stocked up (I'm on my last pair of 860v2 now) so I think they're up to v3 or v4 of the 860 now.
