Running Mania

Whilst looking for a new (yet again) pair of sneaks I'm lost.
There seems a ridiculous range of choices - of colours and designs, with questionable technical benefits.
Am I missing something here, or is a lot of it change for the sake of change and nothing more ?

Sometimes shoe manufacturers are trying to keep up with what people want from a design perspective, sometimes it's new technology, sometimes the tail wagging the dog.

Ultimately, it should come down to which shoes work best for you (that don't make you cringe or be embarrassed to wear in public).
