Good job.
When is the Century Half Marathon taking place? Is it a standalone spectacle or a two day duathalon with the Beer Mile on the preceding day?

I am fortunate to have Running Free as a sponsor. I like to keep silly stats and maps of my Daily Neighbourhood Tours, Races and Marathons run in a Silly Yellow Shirt.
Well I was planning on doing it during an official race, just keeping on the down low for legal reasons, but I am scheduled to work only a couple hours after the race. If I can't get my shift changed, I might be doing it unofficially on my own sometime, with some witnesses of course. I am planning to have a separate Beer Mile night and Century club night sometime in a the next couple weeks, so maybe I'll do the century half marathon to finish the weekend off. Maybe we can call this the triple crown of beer.
PS-although the run last night went well, as soon as I stopped running, I was pretty tipsy for the rest of the evening. Empty stomach is the way to go.

I don't think that would be very fair to the other participants or to the race organizers. The very nature of this endeavor is unofficial, so you don't need certified distances or chip timing; I'd even try this on a track if my witness would count the laps for me.
Re: Beer Mile Races?
Well it got delayed a month or so but I broke my previous beer mile record with a 7:19" on Oct. 22. I still hope to try out the century half marathon before the snow flies.

Nice work... I don't think I could drink four beer in 7 minutes even without the running. Looking forward to hearing about the 21K. On this end, plans are in the works for a sequel to last year's beer marathon, probably on Nov. 21.
Re: Beer Mile Races?
What are the stakes in the beer marathon????
Re: Beer Mile Races?
Stakes as in prizes? None, though the "winner" will probably feel better at the end than the others.
Stakes as in rules? To be determined, though last year's model of having a glass of beer every 4K seemed to work pretty well. This year's edition will be around a crescent in front of a friend's house, whereas last year we used a paved trail in front of a bar.

Sounds intriguing. Best of luck.
