So far I like it!

Thanks for all the support. I truly appreciate it.

I have the same bra and I love it! It really holds the girls in place while I run.

Felt hot but good. I need to get my breathing under control - been awhile since I had exercise induced asthma. I am hoping it is due to allergies and humidity more than anything else. On a final note - bra held out well! Or should I say, held the girls IN well.

Mine is exercise induced asthma too (and allergies and environmental...), but I find the more I run/exercise, the easier it is to breathe. Keep it up, you are doing great!

A day behind as I had somethings I had to get done yesterday and enjoyed the company of Maniacs far too late to run when I got home.

Day 8:

5 min warmup walk: Went well..except somehow I managed to do the warm up twice - not sure how that worked.

Run for 90 seconds, walk for 90 seconds, run for 3 minutes and then walk for three minutes: - repeat this twice: First one sucked! I felt like I was shuffling more than running. I changed my mental (the best I could) and tried to really enjoy the fact that my body was able to do this.

5 min cool down: Felt good! I timed it just right that when I walked up to the condo door the program beeped at me to tell me I was done.

Reflection:
It was just okay today.

Day 9- coming for you!

Go get that Day 9!!!

I think back to mid-May when I couldn't run more than a minute or 2 without being out of breath.... 2 months later I can run 10K without stopping. Your work will pay off!! :D Keep it up!!

Day 9:

Warm up - 5 mins walk: I walked quickly due to it being dark and later at night and to quiet my racing mind. I wanted to run but knew I needed to follow the program;

Run 3 mins: ran at medium speed but found myself quickening the pace

Walk 1:30

Run 5mins: too fast but could not get myself to slow down - felt strong but very pushed

Walk 2:30: lots of heavy breathing here

Run 3:00 - again ran super hard - thought it was my last run so pushed myself to the point of needing to stop

Walk 1:30....

Run 5mins :  Oh the last run was not my last interval - put on some P!ink to push me and off I went. I was utterly spent when the 2min cool down beep came.

Cool down: I sounded like a steam engine I was breathing so loud and hard - thank goodness no one else was on the street tonight.

Reflection: Ignored my body's pain signals and ran due to my mind feeling so cluttered - glad I did. I feel calmer now.

Day 10:

Warm up - 5 mins walk: I walked quickly due to it being dark and later at night and to quiet my racing mind. I wanted to run but knew I needed to follow the program. I think I might start doing a slow jog for my warm up

Run 3 mins: ran at medium speed but found myself quickening the pace - another night of thoughts in my head needing to get out

Walk 1:30

Run 5mins: too fast but could not get myself to slow down - felt like I pushed myself well.

Walk 2:30: lots of heavy breathing here

Run 3:00 - felt strong

Walk 1:30....

Run 5mins : Bring this last interval on....my mind needed it.

Cool down: Felt ready for it.

Reflection: Was really tough seeing my dad trying to help me yesterday and today and seeing that he is getting older. His hands were shaking so much and he was squinting away. He SO wanted to help but was struggling and knew he was struggling which made me sad. Being tired, menstrual and too much quiet time (no tv while all is unplugged) to think is not good for me. I feel like I can sleep now. Back at painting tomorrow.

Ready for Day 11.

Day 11 was not ready for me. I have not been running  I got a bit OCD about cleaning/decluttering my place and bowel issues. I HAVE been walking at least 35mins a day. The bowel issues are the worst because I am developing a fear of running anywhere other than the treadmill again. I need to work on this. I have had my blood tests and will be scheduling a colonoscopy when I get back from NYC.

Running, walking - either I refuse to give up.

Hope you are ok... keep on getting out there, you can do it!
I schedule my run near fountains since it's so warm I drink like crazy... maybe you need to make sure you go by coffee shops?

You must be channeling through me...I'm in major "de-clutter mode" these days too!!!
Walking 35 minutes a day in nothing "to sneeze at" Don't be so hard at yourself

I've been having some GI issues this summer...I can totally relate to not wanting to be far from a bathroom

Walking sure is nothing to sneeze at but I had huge plans for this summer  However I am going to keep going from where I am at, not where I want to be. Walking has been meditative most days which is helping.

I took an entire day to do nothing except read, watch tv, catch up on here and visit the pool. After yesterday's episode and dr's visits it was suggested I do that. It is hard to do nothing

Swam for 40minutes today. It was at my condo's pool. I had gone down earlier to read lay in the sun, but after the lunch closing I saw no one in the pool for about 20mintues so changed into my swimsuit and asked the lifeguard if I could remove the line and do some laps. It is not a big pool but it felt amazing to slice through the water and swim. At the end I just floated for a bit and felt so supported and enveloped, kinda like a really good hug.

Lots of walking in NYC!

Health is better but I also had tons of drugs in me in order to have fun and make it through NYC.

I am so hoping the fair health I was feeling in NYC continues but still need to go for that darn colonoscopy.

Will get back on running tomorrow to see how I am feeling.

Still walking as still dealing daily with pain and bleeding so no running in the past 3 days, just walking.

I want to try again tomorrow.

Do not discount the value of meditative walks. My early morning walks with C-Moss before I go to work are slow and easy (mainly because she needs to stop and sniff everything   )...and they are balm for my soul.
