New Me!
New Me!
Hi All,
Introducing me...
Been a runner for several years, but pretty much on and off again. Have done several races but have never really improved due to my on and off again training routine. Hoping to change all that this year. In 2012, I've run 3 halfs and the 30K ATB a couple of weeks ago. My focus right now is to train consistently to improve my half marathon time, which at the moment is around 2:35. I know I can do better. Like many of you on the board, running is a part of my life and I'm inspired by all the runners and their amazing journeys they post about on this forum. I'm even a bit of an entrepreneur..lol, as I decided to start a small business around running as it's given me so much. I won't embellish on the forum though, as that would be spamming I think, so I won't go there. But as for running, I too, hope to contribute to this great outlet! Oh, btw, I'm 41 and female. My next race? Deciding on whether to run Mississauga or Goodlife. Have never run either one, so if anyone has a preference, I'm open to any thoughts. Cheers. Urban Running Girl.

Re: New Me!
Welcome to Running Mania, URG, and welcome to the world of sports-related small business as well. I backed into it myself. Telling us what you do will not be taken as SPAM, as long as you don't start posting a bunch of ads. We all like to know about running-related businesses with services/products. Good luck with it.
Cheers,
Jim

Oh thank you Jim. Good to know. No, I wouldn't post any ads. lol. I too know how annoying that can be. Perhaps, I'll share soon. I'm in the process of getting the business started. It's been scary and exciting to say the least. In a few weeks, I think it'll be good to go! I'm all about the running first and foremost. Keeping myself in check and improving-achieving my running goals.

Welcome. I'm glad you found us. I look forward to getting to know you over the boards. Jump in with both feet (as you've done with your running) we're a great bunch here! Lots of support and great advice. Lots of silliness too!

Thanks. Yes, there seems to be a lot of running awesomeness on the boards! And for the record, I love silliness!

Welcome, sounds like you've had a pretty busy 2012 already
