Watched it too, hopefully looking for one of you . . . only showed the pros. But it looks like they got the best of the weather. The rain didn't look like it started pouring until the end of the women's race. Beautiful course though. I can see why the end of the run would have been so difficult . . . all of those winding paths look like they were going up grade!
Running is cheaper than therapy and I need a lot of therapy.

You mean the end of the winning woman's race!
Did anyone else notice she had a Camelback during the bike? I can't recall seeing that before among the elites.

The rest of the show focused mostly on the pros, so I didn't see any other people I recognized.
Me too - I was so excited! There was also someone local in a "Zone3 Sports" top on at one point.

If I'm not mistaken, Zeiger wore the Camelback in Kona 2007 as well. I recall an interview where either her or her coach talked about how she had a tendency to not drink enough when she used regular water bottles. The camelback helped her to stay hydrated, and there was something about the aero elements balancing out with the loss of aeordynamics when you normally reach down to get bottles.

The one she had looked pretty sleek and flat on her back, not like a big 2L touring pack.
I guess they'll be her new sponsor?
