Race Report - Tri By The Bay

The Rockwood Park Triathlon By The Bay took place in Saint John (NB) on the weekend and although a small event (63 entries in the Sprint Tri), it was first rate. Aside from the one that I did last month as Myra's guide, this was only my second Sprint tri - first was last July here in Fredericton, also a great event by the way.

Didn't feel like I had done enough quality training but decided not to worry about it and see what happened. Finished 46th of 63 so my fear of being last was ill-founded. Best of all, I improved in all three sections. Dropped my swim time by 2:00 for the 750m, managed the same average bike speed on a longer (26k) and way more hilly course and ran a better 5k by about 3:00.

For any maritime darksiders or any Upper Canadians in the area on vacation, I highly recommend the "RP TBTB" next year.
