Yesterday's LSD

Postby q » Tue Jul 26, 2005 9:22 pm

Well, um, you see, yesterday was supposed to be a LSD. OOOPS, I got off to a good start and things just clicked, and I came within 3 minutes of half-mary PB. The last 15 minutes came a heavy cold rain, and a cramp in my leg like I have never had before. And I mean, I never get leg cramps. EVER. Except in the middle of the night, you know the ones were you have to fling off the covers and walk it off. I hate those.

Anyways the S is for slow right?

haha great story! So you're all done the long stuff now till the mary eh? Must be a relief to be finished, I know it was for me. Are you on pace?

Speaking of leg cramps...With the amount of climbs and drops at MBTS, be ready for some screaming quads! hehe, don't mean to scare you or anything...

Yeah, nice to be tapering. Was a little pressure getting the LSD's and work to co-exist, but I got it done.

I am close to being on pace. (Goal < 3:59:59)

But I am sure race day excitement, the boost from the supporters, and just being in a race will pump me up as they have in the past.

But I know bonking can happen anytime. I have a plan for that. My mantra will be....

"This is my first mary, there will be another chance for Sub 4. I can do it, I can finish in 5."

Okay, I am getting more jazzed for MBTS by the day...
