Colleen (eme) gets a PB at the WPS 1/2

Postby eme » Sun Apr 27, 2008 5:23 pm

It turned out to be a great day for racing, even though the weather forecast had me a little worried (I miss spring). It was a little cool, but the sun was shining and I was running with friends.

I started off with Karen (KBO) and some of her friends and stayed with them until about mile 4 and then I went ahead.

I ran the race according to my plan - basically only walking at water/Gatorade stations and I was aiming to improve my previous PB of 2:15:32 and I did!

According the results posted on site, I finished in 2:13:02 - so a 2 minute and 30 second PB. I was one happy camper, now just to run down that elusive 2:10 Half - maybe later this fall...

Thanks to Natalie for being our official cheering Maniac and photographer!

Colleen

ETA: According to the race result website - my time was 2:13:02 (they added two seconds to my time from what was posted at the race )
