Yay! It was great to read your report of everything that led up to the point where I saw you and Helen. I thought you'd stuck together the whole way!

You had a great attitude for this race and it really paid off in the end. Hopefully you got the marathon experience you were looking for.

And yes, you do need to come back to TO sometime when you don't have a race to do and don't have to worrry about resting up.

Congratulations!!!

See, all that worrying last week was for nothing.

Since you're going to wait until 2010 for your next marathon, how about this one: January 10th, 2010 ? You may as well get an early start on the season. :D

Huge congratulations on completing your first marathon Angela!
You ran some tough roads through your training and hopefully this made it easy for you to tough it out on the day.
You definitely proved yourself out there. Yay! RA is a marathoner!

Ange, you pushed through, you persevered and you had a FANTASTIC first marathon!

No-one will ever be able to take that away from you.

I finally had a few minutes to read your report! I was so happy for you when I got the texts from La (and we cheered for you in Banff yesterday!)

CONGRATULATIONS marathoner! Wear that shirt with pride! You did it (and glad that my tip helped you on those last km's!)

HUGE congratulations!!!!! enjoy your snazzy medal with pride!

it has been such a delight to follow along with your marathon training -- and even better to experience the nervous excitement of the race without the "nervous" part (cuz it wasn't me running). this has been such a great journey!

it was so great to see you on the course yesterday, and SO AWESOME to see the smile on your face. i'm glad you had such a positive experience. i will remember the look on your face as you ran up Bay St for a very, very long time -- it's a look that reminds me why we run, even when the running gets tough.

i'm sorry i didn't get to hang out with you longer afterwards. after we parted ways, i hiked back up to my car and got the stupid idea to try to move it closer to the restaurant instead of feeding the meter. an hour later, i was still circling around looking for a place to park. i think you should definitely visit toronto again soon! :)

Ok. So, the soreness is increasing. The stairs to the subway were ok, but the quads are now protesting when I get up or sit. :-)

I'll definitely be taking my medal to work and putting it up in my office.

I can't wait til the pics are up!

Try using old-style Italian toilets two days after the race, where you have to squat/hover over it instead of sitting. I thought I was going to die. lol

Way to go Ang! I'm so proud of you for doing this! The pain was totally worth it, wasn't it? 3 days from now, you won't be feeling anything but pride and that's a pretty cool feeling. Sorry that I wasn't around to see you at the finish, but I had a cranky baby and a cranky husband and I'm not sure that I was even thinking all that straight either!
