You've got a good woman to get you out the door like that Robbie! Although I'm thinking you may have been driving her crazy?

Excellent result. As has already been mentioned, you've been due this win, and so happy to see that it has happened in such a great way. Couldn't have happened to a better guy! :D

Smart racing, and a huge PB for you. It's amazing what fear of being caught can do for you.

Congrats on finally earning #1

My training log

Why practice running slow? It comes naturally!

"There are two types of injuries that we older runners get: those that we can run with and those that we can't. And if you're over 30 and don't have one or the other, you aren't training hard enough." - Younger Legs blog

What SPEED - at 5 km you were just getting warmed up!

Congratulations!

Amazing!! I think it would be so cool to run like that, with the feeling of being chased. No doubt you ran way faster today than you would've if there had been 15-16 minute runners out in front. Congrats- and I think Bridie is an awesome wife for seeking out a race for you to run within a month of having a new baby.

Huge Congratulations to you Robbie!! I know how bad you wanted your sub 18 and you did even better by winning the race and finishing in a smoking fast time for a new pb. I like the fact that you picked a realistic goal and worked hard at it until it was reached.
