I decided to run late on Wednesday so I was not expecting a great time with no race pace training since the marathon. I misremembered my PB as 47:xx (it was really 48:50) so I planed for a 46:xx with no real expectations of success.
I started the race with my normal race buddy, Leah who normally thanks me for pacing her and leaves me in her dust with 3 to go and Jess, women's winner of Jog the Bog. The weather was perfect, cool with a bit of wind, no risk of overheating. The race was great, I passed people throughout the race, slowly getting faster, though 4-5K was slower for some reason.
Finished with a time of 45:30.6! 3:20 improvement on my PB. This was the first short race in VFFs and they gave me a wicked blister on the ball of my left foot, but otherwise, what a great day. I beat both girls by a minute or two, the first time I have managed to finish in front of either of them. (If you add their ages together, they are one year older than me!)

Congratulations Blister .... wear it with pride!
Re: Can37 PBs the Bushtukah Canada Day 10K
Thanks for the encouragement, I should be able to dine out on the PB longer than it will take for the blister to heal.
