Robin's ATB Result

Postby Robinandamelia » Sun Mar 27, 2011 4:16 pm

Awesome day for racing....loved it. I decided to run without a pace band... I ran just based on how I felt. Only time I saw my time was crossing the mats. I ran up every hill, even the big one, and finished with a 5 minute PB of 2:52:06. I'm thrilled with that result but even more thrilled that I had a "good race". That was the goal, to have a great race and I did.

5 min PB - YAY! Congrats!

We must have been through most of the race close together! I see that you saw me mid race! I have a bad habit of zoning out and not noticing very much about my surroundings

Nice race on a tough course, but with great conditions!

It's sometimes hard to articulate why a "great race" often feels better than a PB, especially when the two often go together. I like your approach of focusing on the process and mindset that you could control, rather than the end result.
