Way to go, Andy! That rest really did you well. I'm so glad everything turned out well and the course sounds absolutely beautiful. I was in San Fran once a long, long time ago and would love to go back one day. Maybe the half. Although the Golden Gate park is quite lovely ...

Here is my video finish line #2613 ... just look for the Orange RM Schwag ... :shifty: :P

There are actually two different views at the finish line and two others on the road, so just let the clip run it's course, as there may be a slight delay between the 4 clips ...

Congratulations Andy. I was there as well and it was a great day for a run. Fantastic course. A cool weather marathon in the middle of the summer is sweet. I was at the start of wave 3 so I must have missed you. There was a 10 minute gap between waves 1-2 and wave 3 which meant they could have this on a narrower course and including the Golden Gate bridge. It worked like a charm as it was a large race but I rarely felt crowded.

I actually passed you on the Golden Gate Bridge when you were coming across the 7 mile marker and waved to you, but guess you were kinda busy leading your crew ... :shifty:

Sorry I missed you. The Bridge was very tight. Might have run with you but we moved back to the start of wave 3 and there seemed to be a lot of 3:40 runners there and the security--which looked like Hells Angels--were pretty fundamentalist about people moving up a wave. Interesting the large number of wave starts they had with 10 minute intervals. Allowed for a narrow course--including fewer lanes of the Golden Gate Bridge and more room for runners. Heard that one of the reasons for the change was a security assessment after 9-11 that suggested there were too many people at one time on the Golden Gate Bridge. It also allowed for a good flow of runners at the finish. Think I was drinking my free beer about 10 minutes after finishing. Nothing like beer before 10 am. HIghly recommend this marathon.
