Was originally planning on the Wine and Dine this fall, then Disney moved the date out to November. It was replaced with the returning nighttime Tower of Terror Weekend on Sept 28th/29th. TofT falls during our planned vacation dates, so I suspect I'll run it.

I don't plan on doing any WDW Race Weekends until 2015, which is when I've always said I would try my luck at Goofy 8) Mind you, I've also learned to never say never!

Are you headed back down in 2013 for Mickey's 20th?!

I'm not surprised, but it made me laugh, that you're wearing a tank dress and Andy is wearing his full 'Andy race outfit'.

I'm still reading, I just had to comment when I reached that picture!

Congratulations, again, on a great weekend of back-to-back races, Andrea .... It was by far my most complete Race Week(end) experience of my 4 consecutive Goofy Challenges .... It was great to spend time with you over the race weekend whether it be just hitting the various Parks, hanging out before and after the races at the Race Retreat and/or just chillin' and relaxin' at the Resort ...

According to updates by Sid on FB, apparently they brought out the wraps and salad, etc, just after we left the retreat for about a noon-serving ... for the 5+ hour runners .... and, confirmed that likely, the volunteers at the race retreat randomly opened up the boxes of socks, which result in us receiving the XL on Saturday ... and, suggested that it might not be a bad idea to send an email to see if they had any smaller sizes in stock, for a swap, etc ... ? May just do that and see what they say, as well as why they would bring out the wraps, etc. later in the morning, while serving the eggs, hash browns and sausages for the early finishers ....

Great report Andrea! Yes, the Goofy is expensive, and certainly is WDW any day of the year, but I also love this race week-end, and it is worth it, maybe not every year, unless your name is Andy...

Very impressive to run that pace two days in a row. :) Congratulations.

Sounds like a great experience overall (despite the organizational difficulties on Sunday...)

That is a great race report. I like the pictures you have posted, but most of all is how you ran two evenly paced races that are within your threshold on back-to-back days, very impressive indeed! It looked like a lot of fun.
PB’s (official race results)
5K – 26:20; 8K – 41:28; 10K – 52:13; 15K - 1:22:43; 21.1K – 1:54:16; 30K – 2:51:34; 42.2K – 4:24:14

What is up for 2018
