You looked strong from start to finish, never complained, and I had no doubt you would cross that finish line. I too, feel like I have a new friend. I guess plodding through pitch black darkness, trying not to slide off a cliff, and avoiding horse poop can do that! It was so much fun and I was so excited for you from beginning to end :)

What an amazing accomplishment, one that I'm sure you'll be proud of forever!

I can't say it better, Sylvie!! Congratulations on a superb accomplishment!! If you do another next year and it is at all feasible, I'll be there to help out in whatever manner I can!!

I am SO happy you finished strong and where you wanted to be. Kudos to your coach, your pacers (yay Robin and Ken), your husband for his support, and of course to you for your endless dedication and strong training.

I was thinking about you all day Saturday and Sunday morning, and checking in with the updates. Your persistence and strength is a true inspiration.

Congratulations yet again.

Exactly what I wanted to say.
Bravo Sylvie. Can't wait to follow your next adventure.

Thank you everyone for your kind words....

IG, I stuck with Perpetuem for drink, and Ensure for nutrition, and Coke at the aid stations -- hand a handful of potato chips and a couple of boiled, salted potatoes, but wanted to limit the food intake because of my "iffy" stomach.... and Immodium is my friend....

No sleeping -- got sleepy a couple of times, but the Coke helped!!

Incredible, simply incredible Sylvie. I was telling your story to everyone I have chatted with all weekend. 160kms...mind boggling. You must be so mentally and physically strong to accomplish this, I can't even begin to imagine.

Congratulations.

What an amazing achievement, I'm so happy for you. I thought of you many times while flying on Saturday/Sunday wondering how you were doing; now I know, thanks for such a great report!

I really don't enjoy biking 160k, so I can't imagine running that far.

Congrats on your race!
