Today's Speed Session

Postby jacob42.2 » Tue Jul 26, 2005 8:13 pm

Today I ran a 4x400m-2x800m-4x400m. It was suppose to be a fast and good workout, but a lot of bad stuff went down today that I'd rather not talk about yet. In the end I ended up getting drunk, and falling asleep. Woke up around 6pm, and got myself semi composed and headed to track for 7 to meet Paul. First 400 were great, fast. The 800's were tougher, but once I found my groove they went by fast too. The last set though was the breaker. The first 400m was fine, the second was a loss, and the third I puked at around 300m, and couldn't finish the last 100m or the next 400m. Hopefully brighter days are ahead...

Jacob, sorry to hear about your bad day. I do find that when I have a bad or stressful day it reflects in my running... you will get out of the dip soon, I'm sure. :)

You are hardcore to run after getting wasted!
Don't let it get you down- you are a great runner, which I'm sure you know!

I did a 16K today in 1:28, which I was happy with. It was muggy but not too bad, as the sun wasn't blazing down. My IT is still a bit inflamed though... gotta go pop some advil!
"Don’t let negativity rent space in your brain for free. That is how you become a badass…by excavating her from inside you. You don’t have to become someone else. You need to identify the effing awesome parts of you that are your tools to work with, and maximize those." -Lauren Fleshman
