Cadbury Dairy Milk

Postby D-Man » Sat Aug 04, 2007 8:38 pm

I was in Vancouver and I managed to find a store that carried Dairy Milk from the UK. Bought the last 3 bars...

I'm not usually a big fan of milk chocolate, but this one was reaallllly good. The North American DM is a bit "harsher" tasting, but this one was smmmmmmmmmmoooooooooooooooooooth...

I noticed that they use Vegetable fat in their chocolate

I too am a huge fan of British chocolate... it is sooooo much better.

I'm 98% sure they sell Brit Cadbury products at Sugar Mountain on Corydon in Winnipeg.
Next?

Raging Brit advertises it on Portage Ave.

It only hurts up to a point and then it doesn't get any worse. (I just haven't yet gotten to that point!)

Arrrgggghh DMan! Why did you have to bring this up??! ;) There is a store across the street and a block down from me that sells British chocolate (and every kind of jelly belly). I am going to be thinking about it all day!

Oooooo, I pigged out on Cadbury's chocolate years ago at the factory in New Zealand. Tourists could have as much as they wanted - as long as they ate it all before leaving the factory. :? :D

Same here. And I just bought some Jelly Bellies from that exact store yesterday, in fact!

Darn you, D-Man! I've got a bag of chocolate chips in the house. Well, about 2/3 of a bag now ... and the remainder are calling to me. :?

My run-commute passes both the Nestle/KitKat and Cadbury factories. When the wind blows the right way, I spend a couple of blocks inhalng the scent of chocolate.

UK chocolate is totally awesome.

Can I also get in the game of blaming Derek for my chocolate addiction? You're an easy target, D-man. ;)

Jim.. didn't you learn last time not to keep chocolate chips around the house

Another here for the U.K. Chocolate... my little stash of U.K. Cadbury is now all gone.. must hit the British Store when the coast is clear. :shifty:

Matthew's birthday cake was made with Callebaut chocolate. And blue icing. Only the best ingredients get smeared into my son's hair.

I'm not sure whether we should be giving so much credit to the brits for chocolate anyway-- everyone knows it's the Swiss that make the best chocolates. :)

Yep, I agree. Other than the Bernies we make here, the Swiss knows their chocolates.

Apples and oranges, really. If we're simply comparing Cadbury to Cadbury the Brits win hands down. But I'd take Swiss or Belgian chocolate over British chocolate any day!

Yummmy, British Cadbury's is by far my favorite thing. I get my mother-in-law to send those big blocks of it. I love the fruit n' nut...

hmm, I wonder if there is a reason I put on over 20 pounds in the first 2 years I lived in the UK
