I brought my mug and brew basket to bed with me last night and sipped my tea while reading. So, being lazy, I left my mug and brew basket on my night stand to the night. I awoke to the awesome cinnamony appley oatmealy aroma from the brew basket this morning. It made me start my day with a :D

I got the advent calendar for my birthday, so I'm looking forward to trying so many teas! There are 19 I've not tried!

Has anyone tried Hot Lips? Does it have any mint flavour to it, or just cinnamon/spice?

I bought my sister the "foodie" kit for Christmas and then only noticed that one was in it when I got home. My sister HATES mint with a passion. The ingredients don't list mint, but it does have "flavour" in it, so I'm a bit worried.

(I bought Christmas presents for like 5 people there yesterday! And picked up more Santa's Secret for myself)

I've never tried it - but it's on my "to try" list. According to various reviews, it tastes like cinnamon hearts - which leads me to believe no mint flavouring. If no maniacs have tried, perhaps post the question on the DT facebook group?

I used up the last of my sister's Strawberry Shortcake on the weekend. It was so good, I will be buying it.

My cup of Sleigh Ride last night wasn't nearly as good as the first cup I had. It seems I only have a couple hunks of cinnamon in my tin. The cinnamon is essential, IMO, otherwise it is just a fruit tea. :?

My neighbour and I combined our Banana Dream Pie, shook it up, and rebagged. This helped give her more banana pieces. If we lived closer to the city, she would have taken her bag back to see if they would correct/exchange. I guess, if you're close enough to a DT location, maybe see if the store can help you out?

I'm not normally a black tea, black kinda gal but I have decided that I kinda prefer Santas Secret without milk (because it is too hot to guzzle). I had a cup with milk in it tonight and it didn't last even 2 minutes, then made myself a second cup and forgot to leave space for milk so I just sipped it black. Yum!

I tried 'Organic Green Seduction' yesterday.
I have come to the conclusion that I am not a big fan of green tea. It wasn't for me.

Yeah, me neither. I find green tea too astringent. It makes my mouth fee dry.

Now, that said, my preferred iced tea is green tea. Odd.

Today's tea was "Goji pop"

Not for me :hand:

So, what does one need to start drinking this yummy sounding tea?

I love my keurig coffee in the morning but could use something for the afternoons......and evening!

I use my Keurig for the hot water and I put my Epicure brew basket in my cup.

but I'm sure DAVIDs sells brewing baskets so you could pick one up in-store.

I have a tea-ball that looks like this:

There are other versions, but they are all very cheap-- should be able to get one for under $5.

Yep, they do. That's what I use at work, and have a tea ball at home. The basket is much better for not getting tea leaves in your cup.

Cool, thanks.

I used to buy loose leaf tea from teaopia ....is there reason this is better?

There isn't a David's tea downtown, is there? And...how much are the advent calendars? (That's totally my kind of thing...trying a new one every day....

I'm not sure about downtown (I would expect so) but I know there's on in Marg's neighbourhood. Pretty much right across from the TD bank.

He asked me to give you all that PSA as we ate dinner last night
Apparently Bayshore is now sold out.

Sorry kids.

ETA:
Kiza - Bank Street (Glebe) has a David's Tea. It's by the Metro. Also, one by Marg's (not far from The Works). And one at Bayshore.
No more advent calendars in the city but you can buy 'tea samplers' which could do the trick :D Check out David's Tea for the collections/prices online!

I'm hoping the Brandon store is not sold out. I'm going in today to check. I know they no longer have the Advent Calendar online.

4 more left on display after I bought my two. Anyone want me to pick one up for you??

They ordered 30 and were sent 80. Their overstock is going to PoloPark store after Saturday.

So if anyone wants me to send you one, I'll be back in town tonight and Saturday morning. Just pm me!
