Thought about that, or pacing....since there are so many folks I want to follow on race day. Not looking good to get away for that weekend now though.

Do you remember/know if there is Cell/BB/iPhone coverage up there? If there isn't you are going to be going crazy till late Sunday.

I don't know if there is or not. I've never tried. Would be great if there was and ESPECIALLY if someone offered to do some Twitter updates that others could follow

I'm trying not to have a complete meltdown. I went to see my chiro yesterday about my ankle pain (rolled it last week) and ended up discovering I might have a stress fracture on my shin! I went for an x-ray today, and may have to have a bone scan. So ITT is out this saturday, and I've already confirmed with the RD I can drop down to 15K walk at Midsummer nNghts. I've got 3.5 weeks before Haliburton. Keeping my fingers crossed that it's nothing serious. Gah! :(

I'll see what I can do to train Kim on how to use one of those fancy smartphone things. Just no tweeting and driving. She may have to climb a few trees to get reception though.

Sucks hezzy, hopefully something a little R&R will fix.

That sucks large Hezzy, hope there's no fracture.

I've used my cell at basecamp before so there's reception there anyway. Not sure if you go down the road though.

Got the verdict from my chiro this morning. He said it's cutting it close, but basically if I lay off the running (no more than 5K 2-3 x week - I'm sticking with 5K 1 x week and lots of cross training), I'm allowed to run Hali with the understanding that I drop if I have any problems with my shin. I'm relieved. I will be cross training my butt off between now and then and keep my fingers crossed that I'm ready.

Hopefully it is just a strained Tendon and ice and TLC will heal it all up. Keep us posted.

Ok, I survived ITT without hurting myself critically (although I suffered a couple of painful spills) so I paid my money for Haliburton and I'm now officially listed with the craziest of the crazy people.

Hi, I'm new. JD told me about this site on the weekend. So, is this like a support group or something for people with a running addiction? I'm running the Haliburton 100 Miler in a few weeks, so will probably see most of you there.
