Boston Registration HELP!

Postby West Grey Runner » Mon Oct 18, 2010 9:21 am

Well I may have a bib to sell or I am not registered yet! I hit “Submit” and it came back to a blank registration form, I did it again and the same thing happened. Anyone have any success …can you tell me what happens after you hit “Submit”? I didn’t receive a confirmation email(s) so I suspect that I haven’t registered YET!

Yes it is happening to me too. Unless you receive a confirmation # (and the e-mail that follows it) you were not registered.

We will just have to keep trying - I am using a work computer, connected through the school board site, so I was wondering if there is some security issue that is messing it up.

Try this link instead of browsing to the baa home page.

Just tried again twice …. may have 3 bibs to sell! Still got the same response after hitting “Submit”, back to the blank form. Why do I feel like I am buying tickets to a Pink Floyd Concert?

I'm registered - excellent. Very weird that the address is wrong - someone posted that on twitter (ie take out that segment of the address).... and it worked fine.

Anyways - here we go!

Keep trying. The pressure seems to have eased off a bit. We know several people who got in in the last half hour or so, after trying for 2 hours before that.

Do you think its safe to book flights now - ie is that receipt good enough (I know my credentials are fine)?

Hmm good point; if money is tight you might want to wait to book that flight, until you get the official e-mail and postcard.

I'm in - hope the decision to go is the right one. I'm still on a high from yesterday's race; may be clouding my judgement. BUT Boston can only be a great thing!!! Yipee..
We train more joyfully and productively when we focus on the now, rather than on our future race day performance. It's a long road from here to there with many miles to go. We need to run each one. Accept where you are today and simply be thankful for the work you've accomplished. KA

I registered already using a deferal acceptance from last year...do we seriously need to book flights already? Who do people recommend flying with? (i.e. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!!!)
Lightning :)

We're going to try this new thing called jogging. Or maybe it's yogging-with a silent "j". Apparently you just run for an extended period of time. It's supposed to be wild.

I booked my hotel through http://www.marathontours.com/index.cfm/ ... /pid/10393 and used Aeroplan miles for the flight. I was surprised that the “free” flight was $145.00 / ticket but its still a pretty cheap way to go!

Glad it worked. I got the link from the Runner's World forum. The funny thing is that it's the exact same link that you end up at if you visited the Baa home page and were redirected.

BTW, if people are thinking of registering, the RW forums are saying that they're at over 10,000 now which is over half of the available spots. It could close today or at the very latest within the next couple of days.

Hurry!

Boston, we have a problem.
next up:

This broken wing will fly again
One fine day
This blackbird's mute gonna sing again
One fine day

So all you sinners come out
And all you drunkards crawl out
Come into the light of one fine day

watch them go to a lottery like WS!

you have to qualify AND win the lottery.
