An 11-day weekend for me! But yeah, these next four days are going to be tough.

Long run of 12K done yesterday (had to walk in the final 750m - my back was sore). Tonight is Hot Yoga.

Spinning done. The gym was surprisingly busy, but the mall coffee shops were not. There was no line up at Starbucks, Tim Hortons or Second Cup as I walked past on my way from the gym to work. Interesting.

Snowy 10K this morning on slippery roads. I think I'll be stopping at Home Hardware on the way home to buy some screws for my shoes.
1 more day (after today) until my 12 day vacation starts. :D

I'll be doing 5 miles on the treadmill tonight! Hopefully I don't have to shovel again when I get home...had to shovel this morning before I left for work....so hoping that's all.

Have a great day/week everyone.

I ran about 40 minutes this morning on the beach here in Punta Cana! I had my shoes on for about the first 20, and then took them off. It actually felt way better barefoot- oddly much more stable on the sand. Now for some serious tanning time. :) I love the fact that my iPhone picks up wifi by the pool!!!

A nice bike ride on the roads this morning. Definitely a lot less traffic than normal and warmer than last week. Not used to working the week before Xmas.

Have a great day everyone!

Looking forward to getting some exericse in today! I took three days off and feel gross - too much food and fun :) Kardio kick class this evening, should be a good one - she promised that the week before Christmas she would kick out butts!

Easy 15K. Still haven't needed to run inside and I seem to have adapted quite well to moderate winter temps (today: -16 WC -24).

3 miles on the TM + light weights scheduled for tonight.

Today I made a decision: I'm dropping Goofy and just running the half at Disney. I've been thinking about it for a few weeks, and where I've been (training-related and emotionally/physically), this is going to be the best thing, I think. I've done a few long (3+ hour) runs, but nowhere near where I need to be ready for Goofy. So I'll spend Sunday cheering for Tori, Andy, Rob, and anyone else running both! I suppose I need to upgrade to a park hopper then, eh? :D
2010: Cautiously coming back from 14 months of injury!
June 12: Race for the Cure 5K, Raleigh
June 26: Legal Run-Around 5K, Wilmington (28:51, PR!)
Jan. 8-9, 2011: Goofy!

Marathon Count: 6
Half Count: 7

Yikes, Moofy ... such a tough decision to make, but a smart decision on your part, considering that you are not 100% healthy to attacking this "Beast" ... Looking forward to seeing you and your family, in a couple of weeks ..

Mary I am jealous you get to sleep in on Sunday morning now! It sounds like a smart decision though. It will still be lots of fun. And if you decide you want to walk on Sunday my SIL and her mom are walking and make great company.
