My favorite, favorite song is Wolf Like Me - TV On The Radio. It always makes me want go hard.
"Sunshine is delicious,
Rain is refreshing,
Wind braces us up,
Snow is exhilarating,
There's really no such thing as bad weather,
Only different kinds of good weather."

I LOVE listening to podcasts while I run. I was a fan of high energy dance music for awhile, but got sick of it. Now I listen to things from the "Smod" network (stuff related to movie director Kevin Smith). My favorites are the Plus One Per Diems (Kevin and his hilarious wife Jen) and the Smodcast ones. You can get them on itunes for free.

Private message me if you'd like and I'll send you a list of my faves! I have only listened to these for my half training, and now thinking about which ones I should listen to on race day.

I try to avoid the songs that make me want to go faster, or that have a super-strong beat that is close to, but not quite, on the cadence I need. My favourite band for long runs is Radiohead.

I'm either listening to audible books or listening to Beats Antique:

My iPod is probably 90% full of late 80's and early to mid 90's hip hop. There isn't too much on there that isn't great for running. It's actually eerie how well GOOD rap is so suited for running. It's all about the beat, the rhythm, the pace, the precision and the flow.

My favourite for near the end of a run when I want to finish with a major kick is Icona Pop's 'I Love It'. It's not remotely the kind of genre I would usually listen to, but it makes me feel like a sprinter!
PR's so far: 5K 27:15, 10K 55:25, 21.1K 2:10:53, 42.2K 5:21:27

Thought of this thread after I spent most of last week's long run with a couple of songs from Sloan's new album stuck in my head:

haha, I love ABBA but I couldn't run to it. I prefer electronic and fast music like Daft Punk or Kavinsky
