Heading out shortly with the clinic group for 18k. This morning, that just sounds really far. I'd rather be in bed still, or sipping more coffee. But I'm looking forward to chatting with the ladies.

I ran a 'recovery' long run today of 60 minutes. My suggested long run pace for my marathon training plan is 11:25-12:17/mi which is I think is around 7:05 - 7:38/km. So I decided to run this long run as a test run at these paces. My average pace was 11:30/mi and my HR only cracked the very lowest end of my zone 2 going up the four hills on the route. My highest average HR of the four splits I took was 145bpm (start of zone 2 for me is 150). So, paces might be a tad on the slow side for me.
The rumours are true......

Just got home from 15K around Presqu'ile Park. Listened to a couple of Vinyl Cafe episodes while running.
Keep on rolling, just a mile to go. Keep on rolling my old buddy, you're moving much too slow.

Just an easy 6k with MrsStrider (first part of her 21k) and Pup. Surprised to be able to run actually. Quads are still tender and my right knee is a little pi$$ed at me, but all considering nice to be out. Back to RR

Planned to get up and go for a run. Ended up waking up with the sniffles, tired, and could not get warm. Ended up doing nothing! Plan to fight off whatever is trying to get me! Spent part of last night on board the Coast Guard Griffin. My friend's husband is an officer on board this summer and it is docked in town so I got a tour. Had a blast. Got to see things you don't see on public tours - in other words i went everywhere from the bridge to the bowels of the ship where you could see the frame of it. Loads of fun!

Now it is time for a nap!

~12K done in the late morning. I wore short sleeves and had arm warmers ready to go, but when I stepped outside it felt much warmer than it does in my house, so I left the arm warmers at home. Good call! It was actually super muggy out, bordering on hot. But then as soon as I got home I started to get a chill from being damp and cold. Weird.

Then a late night run under the full moon.

18k done in the Don Valley this morning, about half was single track. Everything was quite lush with the recent rain and quiet since Ride for Heart had the DVP shut down.
