Re: 2012 Tour de France
PVR is set. I will be away this weekend, so I won't be able to see the first few stages.

Does anyone know if it will be available to watch online? And maybe download? I have zero cable.

That was a tough break for Cav... although glad nobody was injured, that looked really bad! My money is on him abandoning early, he's not really competing for the green jersey and the Olympics are coming up very soon. Maybe even as soon as the first rest day?

If I remember correctly he held out until the first really big day of climbing to drop out for the olympics last time? Someone correct me if I'm wrong - but I would expect the same this time around.
And I finally got cable hooked up but I'm so used to not turning on the tv when I get home that I've completely forgotten I have Tour viewing now. Missed over an hour of today's stage coverage, though I did watch some this morning.

I'm recording the Tour everyday so I can fast forward through the boring bits and rewind the crazy bits like the crashes. I'm glad for the 3km crash rule at the end, although the standings would be completely different if that rule didn't exist!

2012 Tour de France - Spoilers / Alerts / Ramblings
This is the first year I've watched the TdF & am really enjoying it. I guess I have a new appreciation for it since I started biking this year.

Re: 2012 Tour de France - Spoilers / Alerts / Ramblings
I wonder if Hesjedal will drop out now that he has no chance of winning, since the Olympics are so soon. Garmin-Sharp has lost their two best chances due to injury.

TSN reported that he has dropped out of the Tour.
.CANADA'S RYDER HESJEDAL WITHDRAWS FROM TOUR DE FRANCE

Giro d'Italia champion Ryder Hesjedal of Canada has withdrawn from the Tour de France after sustaining a left leg and hip injury during the crash-marred sixth stage of the race.
His Garmin-Sharp team said before the start of Stage 7 on Saturday that Hesjedal is not able to pedal normally.
Team doctor Prentice Steffen said the injury would only be worsened if he tried to ride today.
Hesjedal was among at least two dozen riders caught up in a nasty crash with 26 kilometres left to go on Friday. He lost more than 13 minutes and dropped to 108th overall.

So, that's why TSN2 dropped the telecast this morning in lieu of a rain drizzled / delay formula 1 race ... Thank goodness HDNBC is televising it this morning ...

Yeah, they were showing rained out F1 racing instead. It was also on the NBC main network, which is where I watched it. The TSN2 coverage jumped in with only 30 miles to go in the race.

Wiggins response to allegations of doping .... http://wwos.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=8496140
The question and its implications prompted a fiery response from Wiggins, who is noted for his straight talking and his support of clean cycling.
"I say they're just f***ing wankers, I cannot be doing (sic) with people like that," said Wiggins, who took the yellow jersey on Saturday and holds a 10-second lead over Evans.
"It justifies their own bone-idleness because they can't ever imagine applying themselves to do anything in their lives.
"It's easy for them to sit under a pseudonym on Twitter and write that sort of s***, rather than get off their arses in their own lives and apply themselves and work hard at something and achieve something.
"And that's ultimately it - c***s."
