Tempo Tuesday - but I'm still recovering a bit from Sunday, so tempo portion was only 30 minutes - 6K. The rest was warmup/RP and cooldown. Done on the TM. I really should have gone outside, but it was raining a bit and I wasn't in the mood to get caught in a downpour.

14K in 1:17 with 30 minutes @ 5m/k. Next week it's back to the longer tempos for sure!

I did 7.75k this morning. I'm not loving running right now. Every run is feeling difficult. Might be time for a mini-break.

I brought my stuff to go to the gym at lunch, so that's what I'll be doing.

Change in plans. I forgot that my local running club has a "new members" meet & greet run this evening, so I'll do that instead.

I wasn't really feeling it this morning either - 45 minutes with the stroller - about 7 km and change.

About 9km this morning. Nice morning for a run, a bit on the humid side, but definately no sun. Felt a little tired even with a rest day yesterday.

My second run since getting rid of my injury. Another easy 6kms that went pretty well. While I have definitely lost quite a bit of fitness, it is great to be running pain free again. Long may it last! :)

The first post sums up my feelings about today. I was going to run at lunch, but then checked the Weather Office and saw a big mess of rain coming for about noon-time. With the half coming up in less than a week, I'm feeling very down-trodden about the entire thing. Bleh.

Good afternoon! I was up super late last night with work-related stuff (grrr...), then slept very poorly, and didn't have a run in me this morning. I may do an easy 8 or 10 km after work tonight (if it's not raining) or I may do a double tomorrow or... Work has been the source of so much stress lately that I am not going to stress over something I love, like running.

So when, exactly, do I win the lottery and get the quick release into early retirement?!?!

4 mile recovery run done with the puppy. My legs actually felt surprisingly good, given how stiff they were yesterday!

Circuit class done at work after lunch, with lots of push ups and core.

The plan is to do an easy run after dinner, something in the range of 45 minutes.

Did nobody else run the Toronto 10miler? I don't see any RR.

I ran it but it was okay. Main focus now is miles of trials. Ran it in 106 w a consistent 33 and 33:30 for the course. Found it hotter than I wanted but okay overall. I found a friend who was supposed to race w me but it worked out for the best - he ran off ahead, so I chased him down from 5k-12k then took him in for the remainder.

Mon recovery 12km
Tues - Ladder 16km - working up to sub mara pace then easy for last few kms.

I've got about a 2 week period of running everday - woo!

Did nothing today.

I am traveling for work, and put in 14 hours yesterday and 12 hours today, with no sign of letting up. Good news is, I suppose, that although I'm tired, I am not falling down exhausted, which means the iron supplements might be doing their job. I brought my stuff to use the hotel gym, but I had too rich of a supper tonight. Here's hoping that when I run again I'll have a bit more of my old energy back!

4k tempo first thing this morning, then decided to walk to/from work (about 4.5k each way) since it was a reasonably decent day. If I had known that when I got to work I would find myself on my feet non-stop and doing a lot of lifting, I might have reconsidered the walk-to-work bit... feet and ankles are suffering a bit now!

60 minutes including 20 min @ 10k pace. Probably not the smartest workout 2 days after a race...

6.7 km in 38 minutes, I've been reading too late the past few evenings so I was exhausted tonight. Our route is net downhill so I did try to push the pace a bit.
